Talk Radio Weighs In On Christie’s NJ Gov Win

Following last night’s win by Republican Chris Christie in the New Jersey gubernatorial race, Citadel Media syndicated talker and WABC/New York morning host Don Imus took his fair share of credit this morning after a number of pundits pointed to Christie’s recent appearance on Imus In The Morning as having had an impact in the hotly contested race. FOX Business News anchor Neil Cavuto was one of those who predicted that Christie’s candid and self-deprecating chat with the ‘I-Man’ in the final days of the election would be “a deal changer” in the race for the Garden State’s top job. Meanwhile, across the Hudson River, NJ 101.5’s (WXKW/Trenton) “Jersey Guys” – Casey Bartholomew and Ray Rossi (pictured) — opened their afternoon drive show today to the strains of Steam singing, ”Na Na Na Na, Hey Hey, Kiss Him Goodbye,” and cheers of “ding dong the witch is dead,” as the duo took credit for their and the FM talker’s role in last night’s defeat of incumbent Democrat Gov. Jon Corzine.
