In the new media world, a dissatisfied customer or, in this case, a scorned radio talent, can have the “last word” in any debate in a seriously big way. Much of the industry is buzzing about the faux-rap video posted by longtime Chicago radio personality Jonathon Brandmeier (pictured) this week. If you haven’t yet seen Johnny B’s “R” rated kiss-off to his former employer (first reported by veteran Windy City media watcher Robert Feder, at vocalo.org) YouTube has it HERE … In a collaborative effort with Arbitron, the Radio Affinity Metric Task Force – made up of both radio and ad industry leaders — has selected the Broadcasters Foundation of America as the recipient of a $15,000 donation. BFA works to help members of the broadcast radio and TV business who find themselves in acute need … R.I.P.: From our “not exactly Talk media news” desk, we note the passing of Roy E. Disney, nephew of Walt Disney, who was a driving force behind the successful revival and expansion of the “family business” after Walt’s death. Roy Disney died yesterday (12/16) from cancer. He was 79.
