KOA Taps Michael Brown For Nights

KOA/Denver has named Michael Brown as host of the Clear Channel News/Talker’s nightly 7-10pm slot. Brown, who served as Director of the Federal Emergency Management Agency from 2003-2005, gained national notoriety when, during the controversial aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, then President George W. Bush famously directed a remark to him at a news conference saying, “You’re doing a heck of a job, Brownie.” The new KOA evening personality is currently writing a book, Deadly Indifference, detailing what he learned about the politics of disasters from not only Katrina, but also the more than 160 other U.S. disasters he was involved with during his DHS/FEMA tenure. “I’m grateful to have a chance to provide my listeners with the raw truth that I know they can handle,” says Brown. “From inside the White House and Air Force One, to those great ‘undisclosed locations,’ I have experienced government at its best and worst. I look forward to sharing that insight with KOA’s great audience.”
