WPHT/Philadelphia PD Ed Palladino has nothing but praise for “a handful of very dedicated employees who will trudge through anything to get to the station, including intrepid evening host Dom Giordano among them.” Palladino reports he’s learning the value of “VPN — Virtual Private Network” that has allowed him to remain in touch with the station from his snowed-in home. Meanwhile, from our “Only In Philly” Department: Check out the YouTube video of a guy actually skiing down the famous steps of the Philadelphia Art Museum that Sylvester Stallone ran up in the movie Rocky HERE. Next, we head north on the New Jersey Turnpike to New York City, where WABC PD Laurie Cantillo reports most staffers spent the night in downtown hotels, while others were “pretty much stuck at home.” Offering a note of optimisim, crosstown WNYM (The Apple) PD Peter Thiele says that, ever since the storm began to taper off late last night, “things seem to be getting back to normal” in the Big Apple.
