Nothing Like A Team-Building Sleepover!
Following a 72-hour marathon stint covering last weekend’s big snowstorm in DC, the entire Washington bureau of Salem Radio Network News once again had to “camp out” overnight at the network’s Rosslyn, VA headquarters last night. SRN VP/News and Talk Tom Tradup told NTS MediaOnline Today that there was no way to get fresh anchors and editors into the building, or for anyone to leave, because state and local police in Virginia were actually ticketing any and all “non emergency vehicles” driving on area streets and highways. Tradup also reports on the challenge facing former U.S. Senator and suburban Virginia resident Rick Santorum, who is scheduled to fill in as a guest host on SRN’s Bill Bennett’s Morning In America tomorrow. “I just spoke to Rick and he said there are snow drifts up to 40 feet high (!) in his neighborhood. I think he’s probably already left his house so that he can hopefully make it to our SRN studios by 2am (ET) Friday morning!”
