Paul Hosley Now PD At KGO and KSFO
December 2, 2011

Somewhat lost in all the breaking news about the major changes at KGO (above) was yesterday’s announcement that News Director Paul Hosley (pictured) has been upped to the new role of Programming and News Director for both KGO and conservative Talk clustermate KSFO. Both stations have been without PD’s since the departures of Jack Swanson and Ken Berry back in October. Hosley, a Northern California news veteran, returned to KGO as ND just over a year ago, after serving a previous three-year stint in that role from 2006-2009. He’s also pretty familiar with his crosstown competitor KCBS,┬áhaving served as Associate News Director for the CBS Radio-owned all-newser from 2000-2006, and as an Editor for the station from 1988-1996. The UC Davis grad’s early career also included News Director stints at KUIC/Vacaville, CA and KFBK-KSTE/Sacramento. Commenting on the major changes unfolding at KGO Hosley told NTS MediaOnline Today, “We’ve got a very talented news department of award winning pros here. This news team is ready for the challenge.”
