Howard Stern Appeals Court’s Ruling
April 27, 2012

Howard Stern and his longtime agent Don Buchwald are appealing a recent ruling by a New York State judge that tossed the pair’s lawsuit against SiriusXM over some $300 million in disputed stock awards they say the satcaster owes them. Bloomberg Radio reports that lawyers for Stern and Buchwald argue that the court “misinterpreted the parties contract and granted summary judgment before there was any discovery taken in the action.” The barristers further argue that “reversal is warranted because, among other things, the parties’ contract is clear on its face that plaintiffs are entitled to the relief they seek or is, at a minimum, ambiguous.”
