In a post to his Facebook page, longtime Sports/Talk programmer Jason Dixon (right), most recently PD at Greater Media-owned Detroit Sports 105.1, reports he’s joining SiriusXM as Director for the satcaster’s Washington, DC-based Sports programming. Dixon’s Sports radio resume also includes programming stints at Capitol Broadcasting/Raleigh-Durham Sports trio 99.5 The Fan, 620AM The Buzz and 1550 ESPN Deportes, and WDAE/Tampa … Former Washington Huskies and NFL Seattle Seahawks quarterback and current 710 ESPN/Seattle personality Brock Huard, will host his 5th annual free football camp for area youth on July 23rd. Over 200 future footballers, ages 8-18, are expected to participate in the event that will be held at Husky Stadium … Veteran Sports radio executive Jason Wolfe — best known from his more than two-decade run at WEEI/Boston — has been tapped to help the MLB San Diego Padres produce the team’s first-ever radio/telethon to support Pedal the Cause — a two-day cycling event in ‘America’s Finest City’ to raise money for four renowned cancer centers that call San Diego home.
