And The Walls Came Tumbling Down

An historic moment is captured in this picture as the old transmitter building of KSPN/Los Angeles is demolished. The station recently built new transmitter facilities from which it is now broadcasting. For nearly 70 years the equipment located inside the North Hollywood building spread news, music and sporting events all across Southern California, both as KMPC and, more recently, KSPN. Station President/GM Chris Berry reports that sharp-eyed movie fans will also recall that the building was used as the radio studio forĀ Wolfman Jack’s broadcasts in the classic film American Graffiti.
