Broadband Access Is "A Social Obligation": That's what FCC Chairman Kevin Martin told USA Today in an interview with the national newspaper. "There's a social obligation in making sure everybody can participate in the next generation of broadband services because, increasingly, that's what people want," said Martin. Noting the growing number of people demanding access to broadband services Martin adds he believes that "it's important that the FCC try to find new ways to address those needs." Ingraham Officially Re-Ups With TRN: Although there seemed to be some cracks in their five-year relationship earlier this summer, it seems everybody's kissed and made up as conservative talker Laura Ingraham has signed a new multi-year deal with Oregon-based Talk Radio Network to continue syndication of her daily radio show. Heard on a reported 300-plus stations nationwide, Ingraham is also a regular contributor to FOX News Channel and the author of several bestselling books including her latest, Power To The People. "Laura's unique brand of conservative wit and wisdom, along with her searing analysis of pop culture resonates with a wide and diverse audience," said TRN CEO Mark Masters. "Given her proven track record in the industry, Laura's star will continue to rise for many years to come."
