SoCal Democrat Sues KRLA/Los Angeles: The Glendale News-Press reports that private citizen and longtime registered Democrat David Birke has sued Salem Communications News/Talker KRLA/Los Angeles claiming the station "misrepresented their federal license agreement by serving the interest of the Republican Party rather than the public." The suit filed by attorney Johnny Birke -- who refused to say if he's related to his client -- also names Salem President/CEO Edward Atsinger III, Salem Radio Network hosts Dennis Prager, Michael Medved, Hugh Hewitt and Mike Gallagher, Talk Radio Network host Laura Ingraham, and Westwood One host Dennis Miller as co-defendants. "My client saw a need to address something that has gone unquestioned for so many years," the attorney told the newspaper. "He's not doing this for publicity." Read more HERE.

» Vin Scully Goes For 60: An incredible broadcasting milestone was reached this week as the man who many would call the best play-by-play man in baseball signed a one-year extension to continue as the voice of the Los Angeles Dodgers through 2009. The 80-year old Scully will continue to call all home games for the team, as well as all road games played west of Colorado. Scully has been with the Dodgers since 1950, moving west with the team from Brooklyn to L.A. in 1957. The Baseball Hall of Fame announcer told the Los Angeles Times that his wife gave him the go-ahead for one more year, but said that would likely be it. "I know I have a lot more yesterdays than I have tomorrows," he told the newspaper.

Whoa, The Dude's Got A Six-Pack! Although his 50th birthday is approaching, KLSX/Los Angeles talker and longtime television personality Danny Bonaduce shows he's still in fighting trim, something that will no doubt come in handy has he steps into the ring this weekend for a celebrity boxing match against comedian and Howard Stern Show regular "Reverend" Bob Levy. The live pay-per-view event came about after Levy smacked Bonaduce in the face in a widely seen YouTube video. The smackdown will take place this Saturday, September 13, at the Marple Sports Arena located in the Philadelphia suburb of Broomall, PA. A portion of the night's proceeds will be donated to MADD (Mothers Against Drunk Driving) and Stern sidekick Robin Quivers' "Girls Night Out" charity. Find out more about the "Brawl For It All" HERE.
