» OK, You Just Knew This Was Coming! Instantly "hogging" some of the spotlight from the latest presidential "he said/she said" incident, KDKA/Pittsburgh host Kevin Miller will kiss not one, but two lipstick-wearing pigs tomorrow (9/12) in exchange for donations to the Special Olympics of Allegheny County. The porker puckering will be done live at 12:30pm (ET) outside KDKA's downtown Steel City studios where listeners can watch up close as Miller kisses up to a 30-pound market hog and a 6-week old potbellied pig. Soooo-Weeeee!

» So, You Think Gibson Will Ask Her About The "Pig" Thing? Hard to imagine the subject won't come up when ABC News anchor Charles Gibson gets together with Republican VP hopeful Sarah Palin for an exclusive interview that will air tonight on World News Tonight, tomorrow on Good Morning America and again on World News on Friday night. That will be followed by a special extended interview segment on ABC-TV's 20/20 tomorrow night. ABC News Radio will also air excerpts from Gibson's interviews that will also be available at ABCNews.com.

» All Hands On Deck Along The Texas Coast: Radio stations in Houston and across a 500 mile stretch of the Gulf coast, from Corpus Cristi to the Louisiana border, are staffing up and boarding up as hurricane Ike heads for a direct hit on the U.S. mainland by tomorrow. As of this posting residents of Galveston and several coastal Texas counties have been given mandatory evacuation orders, while Houston officials have already begun the massive task of clearing that city by ordering residents in eight of the city's zip codes to begin evacuating at noon (CT) today. Clear Channel's KTRH/Houston has activated the company's trademarked "Operation Stormwatch" with ongoing updates on-air and online HERE.

» JT "The Brick" Joins Marines For 9/11: The FOX Sports Radio host will broadcast his show live from San Diego's Camp Pendleton tonight from 7-11pm (PT). JT plans to dedicate his entire show to a special edition of Military Night, a regular weekly feature on his program in which military members from all over the world are invited to call-in to talk sports and more. During tonight's broadcast in front of what will likely be a highly enthusiastic audience of U.S. Marines, JT will welcome NFL Hall of Famer Jim Brown, Oakland Raiders legend Fred Biletnikoff and Ohio State football coach Jim Tressel. FOX Sports Radio news anchor Tomm Looney will join JT for the Camp Pendleton show that's being held in conjunction with Clear Channel Sports/Talker KLSD (XTRA Sports 1360)/San Diego.

» Warming Trend In Washington The air in DC is noticeably warmer as dozens of Talk radio hosts from across the country spend a few days talking immigration reform and presidential politics from the nation's capitol. WBT/Charlotte host Jeff Katz is there and told the New York Sun that he's hearing a lot of attendees talk about other options for President other than Democrat Barack Obama or Republican John McCain. Meanwhile, WWTN/Nashville talker Phil Valentine, also in DC this week, told the newspaper he'd been planning to "stay home" on Election Day, but says McCain's pick of Alaska Guv Sarah Palin has convinced him to pull the lever for the Republican ticket. Meanwhile, United Stations Radio Networks talker and CNN personality Lou Dobbs is the big draw for many attendees of this week's annual rally sponsored by the Federation for American Immigration Reform.

Ingraham Moves In L.A.: Nationally syndicated talker Laura Ingraham doubles her pleasure in SoCal with a move of her Talk Radio Network show to Mt. Ingraham's move to her new L.A. home takes effect next Monday (9/16) where she'll air live from 6-9am (PT).
