Hannity Heads To Nashville: Nationally syndicated radio and TV talker Sean Hannity will be the special guest speaker at a fundraising luncheon to benefit Rocketown, a non-profit youth entertainment venue and skatepark in Music City. The rally will also feature a performance by Grammy Award-winning Christian artist Michael W. Smith who also founded Rocketown. Following lunch Hannity will broadcast his show for a live audience for his Nashville affiliate WLAC. The Premiere Radio Networks/ABC Radio Networks host will then take part in FOX News' coverage of that night's Town Hall-style presidential debate at Nashville's Belmont University.

Bill O'Reilly Should Moderate Debate: That's the opinion of MarketWatch media reporter Jon Friedman who says having the FOX News personality and Westwood One Talk radio host moderate a presidential debate would give the whole process, "a much needed kick in the pants." Asked by Friedman if he'd go for the idea, O'Reilly replied, "I'd love to host the debates. A lot of people would watch." O'Reilly says although he "respects" the journalists who have served as moderators to date, he says they're all "too nice" and tells Friedman he wouldn't let either McCain or Obama "give rehearsed answers." FOX News Radio Unleashes "Battle Of The Blogs": In conjunction with online radio website BlogTalkRadio FNR will present a showdown between left and right bloggers with listeners to FOX Across America and Sirius XM Radio selecting their favorites during a weeklong tournament beginning October 6. "In the four short years since the last presidential election, bloggers have gone from a mere curiosity to a significant force in shaping our nation's political opinions," said Alan Levy, BlogTalkRadio CEO. Sirius XM Names Talk Management Team: Headed by Sirius SVP/Talk and Sports Jeremy Coleman, the new senior managers for the satcaster's news, talk and entertainment programming division include: Dave Gorab, VP/Original Talk; John McDermott, VP/Comedy and Entertainment; Frank Raphael, VP/News and Operations; Todd Stack, Senior Director/Talk Production; Don Wicklin, Senior Director/Partner Programming; and Jason Schramm, Director/Programming Development. In addition, Kenny Curtis, Craig Schwalb and Maurice Tunick are all named Senior Directors reporting to Coleman and charged with overseeing, "key high priority talk and entertainment channels and partner relationships." Out in the post-merger reorganization is veteran programmer Kevin Straley who has been serving as SVP/Talk and Sports for XM.
