Deminski & Doyle Return To Motown Airwaves: The former WKRK/Detroit talk duo resurface at Greater Media-owned Classic Rock WCSX where they'll host mornings beginning January 5, 2009. Jeff Deminski and Bill Doyle arrived in Detroit in 1999 and held down afternoon drive at then FM talker WKRK (now Sports/Talk WXYT-FM) until their exit in December 2007. A contractual non-compete has kept the pair off the air since then. "We wanted so badly to stay in Detroit, we chose unemployment for a year to honor our non-compete clause," said Deminski. "This WCSX opportunity is the chance of a lifetime." Throwing in his two cents Doyle added, "I'm incredibly excited to be part of the Greater Media family. I'm looking forward to working for the premier radio operator in the market, a company that locally manages their stations and has realized amazing success because of it."

In Other News From TRN: Although a federal judge previously dismissed a copyright infringement lawsuit against the Council On American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) filed by TRN syndicated host Michael Savage, the same judge has now ruled that CAIR is not entitled to recover attorney's fees and costs from the talk host reported to be in excess of $200,000. "This is a huge victory for me, personally, but also for the rest of America who is afraid of this lawsuit-happy group of intimidators," said Savage. Now, people will not be afraid to file suits if they have a legitimate claim against CAIR or some [George] Soros-funded group."The Savage Nation airs daily on a reported 300-plus stations nationwide."
