Baker's Back In Boston: Veteran broadcaster Tom Baker is returning to Boston as the newly named Market Manager of Greater Media's Boston station cluster including FM News/Talker WTKK. The move marks a fulltime return to his hometown for Baker who has been serving as Interim Market Manager for Greater Media's Detroit cluster for the past year. "I love Boston, [company CEO] Peter Smyth and Greater Media," said Baker. "The recent birth of my first grandchild in New England makes the move from Santa Barbara back to Boston that much more special to me and my family." Thank The Lord For The Nightime: Now that we have that Neil Diamond classic wandering through your head, we give a shoutout to the crew at WIND/Chicago as the Salem News/Talker bucks current trends by staffing a new, locally produced overnight Talk show that will debut on January 6! Chicago Overnight will be hosted by Geoff Pinkus and produced by veteran Chicago producer Bonnie Sporn. The new midnight-4am show will focus on the people, places and stories that make the Windy City one of America's most unique metros. "I grew up in Chicago listening to some of the city's radio legends and I hope I can emulate a little of what I've heard over the years on our new show," said Pinkus. "What better time of day is there to talk about what makes this city great than the middle of the night?"
